How To Feed Baby Green Tree Python

Teaching a green tree python neonate how to eat can be quite a challenge! Watch these videos and learn how to properly feed your baby green tree python!

There are several very important things to remember, while trying to establish your new baby green tree python:

• Try not to spook the neonate, when initially presenting the prey. Carefully "wake" it up by gently rubbing the mouse against its body.

• To get the best feeding response, slightly bump the pinky on the sides of the baby's neck - 2-3 inches from the base of the head.

• Do not bump the food on the baby's top of the head. It stresses them out and turns even the best feeders into non-feeders.

• Try presenting the food at different angles. They seem to strike better, when it's given from under the perch.

• Do not overfeed your baby chondro. Make sure the intervals between feedings are at least 5 days. You will get a much better feeding response if you wait 6, or even 7 days!
